New Year New Journey
A lot has happened since I started this blog and YouTube channel:
- We bought our first home.
- I bought a newer Prius.
- I lost my job.
- We finished remodeling our home.
- I found a better job.
- I drive for Uber and Lyft, just not simultaneously.
- I've posted minimal videos on YouTube.
- I've started rearranging my priorities a bit.
So with that said, I'm looking to start a new daily routine for 2018, and it goes as follows:
Monday - Friday
0630-0800: Wake up, get kids ready for school, get ready for work and leave for work.
0800-1700: Work - normal 8 - 5 shift at the grind.
1700-1800: Commute home, think of ideas for projects/blog posts, simple 1 or 2 day projects.
1800-2000: Dinner with family, and quality time.
2000-2100: Gym
2100-2330: Uber/Lyft - Gotta make money for projects.
2330-0000: Drive home.
0000-0630: Sleep
Saturday:
0800-1200: Project/filming time.
1200-1300: Editing Time
Sunday:
24 Hours of relaxation.
So I know its a bit cathartic to write out my schedules to perfect strangers but in all reality there arent a whole lot of people who are reading this anyway. But if I put it out in writing I at list know where my schedules start and end. And now I can make reminders on my Google Calendar and start working/living on a schedule. Boy is this going to suck.
But I have to start holding myself to a stricter standard.
Thanks for reading. :)

Expanding steps in to social mediums
Hello Everyone,
Good evening/morning, depending on where you're from and where you're reading this latest post. The video I shot on Sunday was a bit too long for the format I'm attempting to stick to. I'm going to try to keep my videos under the 10 minute mark in length. I know I tend to ramble on about what I'm doing and I'd like to take this time to thank you for staying and reading my blog as well as watching my videos.
As soon as I figure out how to add my intro to my videos, I'll stop using the title screens on the GoPro Studio. I know for some it can look dated but I'm not really a cinematographer and I'm learning about what the camera/lighting can mean when taking videos. For example, the reason why I chose to edit out half the episode from Sundays video.
I made a boo boo, I put the light source in front of the camera and after viewing the footage, you couldn't see anything. So I'm going to have to re-shoot the bad footage and come up with some talking points as to how and why I do things the way I do.
On another note, I've created a facebook page for this blog and my youtube channel. I'll be cross-posting both the blog postings as well as the videos to both Facebook and blogspot. I'll also start driving for Uber soon and start uploading videos of the encounters with the weirder customers or riders as they like to be called.
This weekend, however, I might clean out a space in a utility closet to use as a voice-over recording studio and use one of my Microsoft Life Chat 3000 headsets to record/edit videos without interfering with my family's activities.
So thanks again for reading, and I hope you look me up on Facebook at Leo Builds It

Pallet Wood Bathroom Vanity Project Part 3
Well, I did it, I made a trip down to my in-laws to work on the vanity project and shoot this video. I apologize in advance for the section with the compressor. Maybe one day, I'll make a sound proofed box for the container and keep it out of range of the camera/neighbors.
Thanks for reading my posts and enjoy the video.
